Beyond Housing and NeighborWorks America joined forces with Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) for 2009 and 2010 to address the forecloure crisis in the Normandy School District. VISTA at Beyond Housing focused on post-purchase education for homeowners who want to Keep The Dream and reduce the risk or need for foreclosure intervention as well as beautification projects at properties that Beyond Housing has purchased from the foreclosure market in 10 target municipalities...Beverly Hills, Hanley Hills, Hillsdale, Normandy, Northwoods, Pagedale, Pine Lawn, Velda City, Velda Village Hills and Vinita Park, MO. Schools, churches, civic organizations, neighborhood associations, coprorations and other interested groups or individuals in the target communities were invited to participate in our workshops and beautification projects.
