Streetscape 2010, held on Saturday, May 8th, continued the fine work established a year earlier. Streetscape is an important element in our on-going community development in Pagedale and was our way of thanking our neighbors who live across the street from the grocery that we are building for tolerating the inconveniences of a construction site.
125 volunteers worked with community residents, elected officials from the City of Pagedale and students from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis to beautify 26 sites in the 1200 block of Buckner and the 6800 block of McNamee.
There was a cold wind blowing at Streetscape 2010; but, there were warm hearts glowing all across the project site.

Streetscape 2009, held on Saturday, May 2nd, was a tremendous success. Thank you to the residents and elected city officials of Pagedale and more than 100 volunteers for working side-by-side to beautify the 6500 block of Whitney Avenue in Pagedale as well as to our Sponsors and Contributors who helped make it all possible. Special thanks to the students from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis for their "hands-on" work to develop and impliment a customized site plan for each home.
After a long-range forecast calling for rain, the weather was absolutely magnificent and typified everything that occured during the day. As Chris Krehmeyer, President/CEO of Beyond Housing, said, "The sun always shines in Pagedale."
