Volunteer
Our volunteer opportunities attract hundreds of volunteers each year, assisting us with:
- Home Crews...cleaning, repairing, painting and landscaping homes in our Service-Enriched Rental Housing Program and our Neighborhood Stabilization Program...no special skills needed.
- Home Crew Supervisors...individuals skilled in property maintenance to supervise unskilled volunteers on the project site.
- 24:1 Ambassadors...for residents within the 24:1 boundaries.
- Progress in Bloom, a one-day, flower-planting project on Saturday, May 21, 2011
- Assisting with family events
- Distributing camp and school supplies to youth
- Donating and distributing gifts to families during our annual Holiday Friends program
- Teaching classes in our Homeownership Center workshops.
- Implementing after-school programs (including individualized tutoring, karate, and dance for our youth)
We welcome interest from individual volunteers as well from corporations, churches, schools, civic organizations or other groups.
