Back to Schoolapalooza was held on Saturday, August 6th, for families in our Service-Enriched Rental Housing Program and for families served at our Pagedale Family Support Center.   This year, Beyond Housing entered a new partnership for Back to Schoolapalooza 2011 with L.I.F.E. (Leaders in Furthering Education) Foundation to purchase backpacks.  Click here for more information about the foundation.

Over 360 backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies for students from kindergarten through college were distributed.  The family-oriented event also included entertainment, crafts, carnival attractions and a steady supply of hot dogs, popcorn, sno-cones and beverages to nourish the body.  There were more than a dozen booths of community resources to nourish the mind and enrich lives of those who attended.
